Mackenzie Adams 4/20/2023 6:11 PM"Pray the Devil Back to Hell." Directed by Abigail Disney and produced by Gini Reticker, the film tells the story of a group of courageous women in Liberia who came together to end their country's civil war and bring peace to their nation. These women, led by Leymah Gbowee, organized a nonviolent movement, including a series of sit-ins and protests, to pressure the warring factions to negotiate a peace agreement. -

Mackenzie Adams 4/20/2023 6:05 PMI made a really simple pasta the other night which included using canned tomatoes, garlic, and coconut milk. The recipe was SUPER easy to make and was honestly one of the more budget friendly recipes I've ever found. My husband even said he was surprised it tasted so good for being so simple! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEconomy & CommunitiesWhat was one nonprofit organization that was exciting to learn about?
Mackenzie Adams 4/20/2023 6:04 PMOne interesting fact about Puget Soundkeeper is that it was founded in 1984 by a group of recreational boaters who were concerned about the pollution and declining health of the Puget Sound. Today, Puget Soundkeeper has grown to become a leading environmental advocacy organization in the Pacific Northwest, with a team of staff and volunteers dedicated to protecting the Puget Sound and its diverse marine life. The organization's work includes monitoring water quality, advocating for environmental policy, and organizing community-based cleanup efforts. -
