WSP - Emerge Program
Spend 15 minutes learning about the Emerge Program at WSP. Emerge is WSP's strategic alliance program that seeks early-stage companies with novel solutions as strategic partners. Partners get access to in-house subject matter experts, an opportunity to pilot their products/technologies with WSP during the evaluation phase and have access to our client base. Emerge propels our partners by accelerating the product/technology adoption. Having recently launched our 4th cohort, Emerge has accelerated a number of companies whose mission aligns with UN SDGs. • Olokun Minerals • ecoSPEARS • PLAEX Building Systems

REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & EquityWhat did you watch, and what was the most important thing you learned in the documentaries you watched? How does what you learned connect to your understanding of climate change and Earth Month?
katharine barnes 4/14/2023 7:29 AMLast night I watched a Nova documentary called "Soul of the Ocean" which talked about the symbiotic relationship between organisms/plants/animals in the ocean & how humanity is affecting it in good & bad ways, including climate change & pollution. It was a really interesting documentary - I learned a lot about symbiotic relationships, how fishing/whaling has cut down certain populations by 100x & the visuals were stunning, which was a plus. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & SecurityWhat is one way you will reduce your water use? What is a practice you already have that helps you reduce your water use?
katharine barnes 4/10/2023 8:06 AM1. Decrease frequency of watering grass; plant sustainable plants that don't require watering; encourage husband to embrace more of a "wild backyard" vs a "Hank Hill backyard" as no one can see it besides us and I like nature!
2. We very rarely drive places as we work from home a ton and don't go out a lot; we drive small, high MPG cars; we do not buy water bottles & use a water pitcher instead; our house has low-flow everything & a more environmentally-friendly heating system -
