Sarah Braden 4/19/2023 9:41 AMI recently took a trip which involved air travel. While I know that purchasing carbon offsets for flights is not a great solution (It would be better not to fly at all), I do purchase carbon offsets for each flight I take, domestic or international. I try not to fly too often. Maybe someday we will have sustainable aviation fuel. -
Sarah Braden 4/19/2023 8:54 AMOne of my eco-friendly habits is to drive an electric car and to participate in the local wind and solar program. Having the combination of the electric car and sustainable energy helps keep my carbon use down, and keeps the air clean. -
Sarah Braden 4/04/2023 3:22 PMTo reduce single use plastic I use refillable bottles for shampoo and conditioner, bar soap, and toothpaste tabs. I also use washable flannel rounds instead of cotton balls. -
Sarah Braden 4/03/2023 6:30 AMI drink a lot of tea. I'm switching from tea bags to loose leaf tea. Tea bags are one of the tricky things to compost. Some tea bags contain plastic or adhesives. Loose leaf tea makes it easier compost the leaves with confidence. -
Sarah Braden 3/30/2023 5:16 AMWelcome to the Denver Market's Earth Month Ecochallenge! The ecochallenge is a wonderful way to connect with other people in the office that care a lot about the environment. I'm excited to learn a lot this month and work on my climate friendly habits. New this year are custom challenges for our office. You can find them on the same pages as all the other challenges.
Let me know if you have any questions. I'm here to support you all and make this Earth Month your best yet!
