REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & SecurityWhat was the dish you made, and how did it turn out? What did it feel like to try a new recipe? If you can share a picture, please do!
Mary Bujold 4/11/2023 5:22 AMI googled a recipe for crushed lentil soup because I love it a local coney island restaurant, but felt intimidated about making it myself. I found a great one at VeggieChick.com. It was easy! Lentil soup is very healthy since lentils are a great source of plant-based protein and full of vitamins and minerals like iron and folate. Great experience and so tasty! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate & EcosystemsWhat did you watch, and what was the most important thing you learned in the documentary(ies) you watched? How does what you learned connect to your understanding of climate change and Earth Month?
Mary Bujold 4/03/2023 10:19 AMI watched a Detroit PBS Special: The Egg - Nature's Most Perfect Invention. It was fascinating! It followed an egg from creation to birth of its inhabitant; from hummingbird egg (smallest bird egg) to ostrich egg (largest bird egg). All 10,000 species of birds lay eggs. Birds are the only animals who can lay eggs in every climate due to their bodies' unique ability to keep the eggs warm.
