Spend Time Outside
SDG 3
I will replace 15 minute(s) per day typically spent inside (computer time, watching television, etc.) with quality time outside exercising, enjoying the sunrise/sunset, gardening, journaling, or practicing gratitude for nature.
Climate & Ecosystems
Support Local Pollinators
SDG 15
At least 30% of crops and 90% of flowering plants rely on pollinators to produce fruit. I will plant pollinator-friendly plants in my area to support local pollinators.

-

REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate & EcosystemsWhat was your experience like plogging, or engaging in another way to collect litter while being outside? Was there any item you collected that was unusual that you found?
Sheila Coates 4/25/2023 6:54 PMI walked around a lake. I found a box with non-working pens in it and other bottles and cans. -
Sheila Coates 4/22/2023 12:09 PMToday I joined in with two separate groups. The first was clearing off flower beds at the art center and the second was collecting trash at waterworks park with two kids I occasionally babysit for. We got 3 garbage bags full (one for each of us of trash and we found one easter egg containing a certificate for a pizza. It was really cold here. The water bottles we found contained ice. -
Sheila Coates 4/16/2023 3:49 PMI want to make little changes that will add up. While trying to decide to join this group, I tried a new recipe--cauliflower crust veggie pizza. I'm thinking that qualifies as a conservation attempt, even though it's not a recipe I'll try again! (OK, I'm not a chef by ANY means!)-
JR Jackson 4/16/2023 4:54 PMI've tried a cauliflower pizza crust recipe. It didn't go well as pizza crust, but it was quite tasty baking it, slicing the crust, and using it with a veggie dip with avocado slices.
