REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & EquityWhat was it like to practice mindfulness? If this is a practice for you already, what was something new you understood in practicing during Earth Month?
Ray Cook 4/04/2023 6:17 AMPracticing mindfulness is having complete and total awareness of your thoughts, feelings, emotions, environment etc, through a gentle lens. It has brought me to a heightened awareness of doing more to protect the environment, namely by doing everything I can to create less waste and decrease my carbon footprint. -

REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & EquityWhat is easy for you to do when having a constructive conversation and what is challenging? What tips do you have for having a constructive conversation?
Ray Cook 4/03/2023 7:26 AMIn a constructive conversation it's easy for me to listen to the other persons concerns, but at times it's challenging for me to hear them out completely before making a comment. I am conditioning myself to first completely understand the issues/concerns of the other person so that I can effectively respond rather than react. I believe a "reaction" comes across as defensive whereas a "response" is a well thought out statement or question, only given once the other side is truly understood rather than simply heard. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEducation & LivelihoodHow do you create new sustainability-related habits or change bad habits?
