Participant Feed

Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.

To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

  • REFLECTION QUESTION

Rain is gone and the sun is back! Take advantage and go play in this amazing state of ours. I am planning a hike up river of Estacada if anyone else wants to join, Slack me.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health & Equity
Why do you donate food? How does it connect to your values?

    Jeremy Drinkwater's avatar
    Jeremy Drinkwater 4/12/2023 6:59 AM
My family and I made a game out of this. We collect canned food items throughout the week. Whoever collects the most gets to be the person who drops it off (that's the best part). Small things can make a big difference in someone's life.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Economy & Communities
What was it like to mend your clothing? If you are skilled at mending, what tips do you have for others?

    Jeremy Drinkwater's avatar
    Jeremy Drinkwater 4/11/2023 7:46 AM
Easy to add or replace buttons
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Climate & Ecosystems
What was your experience like plogging, or engaging in another way to collect litter while being outside? Was there any item you collected that was unusual that you found?

    Jeremy Drinkwater's avatar
    Jeremy Drinkwater 4/11/2023 7:43 AM
I have been cleaning the same quarter mile stretch of hiking trail by my house for a year now. I cant tell the difference but have had people stop to tell me "thank you" and they noticed. Small actions can make a difference so don't give up.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Basic Needs & Security
With 5-minute or less showers reducing your water footprint, what do you plan to add next to your water conservation habits?

    Jeremy Drinkwater's avatar
    Jeremy Drinkwater 4/03/2023 8:56 AM
I found in most cases my showers were only about 8min. Cutting the time to 5min was easy. I tried to be sure I have everything I need so the water doesn't run unnecessarily
