Attend the “Discover the World of Bees” Workshop at JAC
Did you know that JAC has our own bee hives on the roof? Alveole, the group who manages our bee hives, will present this workshop. Bees are behind a third of all the food we eat, including fruit, veggies, chocolate, nuts, and coffee. In this immersive workshop, you’ll learn more about urban beekeeping and the microcosm that is the hive. We’ll follow a bee’s life’s journey from when she first emerges from her cell to her final flight. When: Thursday April 20 from 1-2pm Where: AME-119 Space is limited. Watch “Into The Weeds: Dewayne “Lee” Johnson vs. Monsanto Company”
“Into The Weeds” tells the story of Dewayne “Lee” Johnson, a former Bay Area groundskeeper who takes on a multinational agrochemical corporation after a terminal cancer diagnosis. Baichwal follows Johnson through his battle, setting his personal journey against a global environmental crisis. The film will be screened in in P-204 from 11:30 to 2:30pm on Wednesday April 19th and the filmmaker Jennifer Baichwal will be present for a Q&A. If you can't make it for the screening, the film is also viewable on the CBC website for free.

Michael Elhachem 4/30/2023 6:05 PMUsing The entire types of foods that include utilizing the skins was highly beneficial in terms of receiving high amounts of nutrients which are found in some skins of vegetables and other food group. There was also a high benefit in lower waste consumption which made groceries cheaper due to not frequently purchasing more. -

It is crutial to go outside, get air and move due to our bodies needing this. Without proper care and breathing in the outside world, the body will slowly decrease in funtion. -

Michael Elhachem 4/24/2023 8:15 PMIn order to reduce a large amount of spending it is crutial to think of the needed essentials in order to go through your day. This included food and transportation, the other purchases were completely eliminated unless it is rewarded.

Incorporating a better schedule and work balance will enhance positive mental and physical effects in order to go bakc to work stronger then before. -

Michael Elhachem 4/24/2023 8:07 PMIncorporating more habits throughout my shower routine such as using more cold water rather then warm or hot water. Turning off the water when not needed instead of letting it drain for the total duration.
