WSP - Climate Solutions Plan and Accelerator Course
Read WSP’s Climate Transition Plan, which details how we plan to reduce GHG emissions. We began implementation of our Low-Carbon Supplier Engagement Plan in January. Through my Earth Month Ecochallenge feed, I will share with others an environmentally friendly habit I have cultivated.
Climate & Ecosystems
WSP - Emerge Program
Spend 15 minutes learning about the Emerge Program at WSP. Emerge is WSP's strategic alliance program that seeks early-stage companies with novel solutions as strategic partners. Partners get access to in-house subject matter experts, an opportunity to pilot their products/technologies with WSP during the evaluation phase and have access to our client base. Emerge propels our partners by accelerating the product/technology adoption. Having recently launched our 4th cohort, Emerge has accelerated a number of companies whose mission aligns with UN SDGs. • Olokun Minerals • ecoSPEARS • PLAEX Building Systems
Education & Livelihood
Work-Life Balance

Lody Faddoul 4/30/2023 9:50 AMTip of the Day: Waste not, want not. Did you know that 9.5 million tons of food is wasted in the UK every year? This isn’t just a huge waste of food and money, it adds to the amount of CO2 and methane being created in landfills. -
Lody Faddoul 4/28/2023 4:45 PMTip of the Day: Plastic seems to have found its way into every single aspect of our lives. However, giving it up isn’t as difficult as you might think – bring a canvas bag with you when you go shopping, buy your fruit and veg loose and stop buying bottled water. -
Lody Faddoul 4/27/2023 9:55 PMTip of the day: Insulate your home.Homes that aren’t well insulated are much harder to keep warm when it’s cold, and cool when the weather is hot. Insulating your home is one of the best tips. -
Lody Faddoul 4/26/2023 10:12 PMTip of the day: Home delivery is like the public transport of groceries. Instead of having 20 odd cars make their way to the supermarket – one van drives around delivering to everyone in the area. -
Lody Faddoul 4/25/2023 4:03 PMTip of the Day: Choose certified sustainable hotels, tour operators, and other providers of tourism services.

Lody Faddoul 4/24/2023 5:08 PMWhen it comes to personal hygiene there are several things you need to be careful to avoid for a truly eco-friendly lifestyle. The most damaging of these is microbeads, which are small bits of solid plastic which aren’t biodegradable and make their way into watercourses and ultimately end up damaging the environment by entering the food chain. -
Lody Faddoul 4/23/2023 5:04 PMyou’d be surprised by how much more energy efficient microwaves are compared to conventional ovens. While you’re already surprised, you may as well continue to be shocked with some of the awesome things you can cook in a microwave (hint: it’s not just ready meals). Or if you are regularly cooking small batches, you could join the air fryer hype. -

REFLECTION QUESTIONEducation & LivelihoodDo you plan on having much engagement with your office green team?
Lody Faddoul 4/22/2023 4:11 PMOur office Green Team often focuses on broad areas. One focus is on the company's own operations, on examining the sustainability opportunities within the organization. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEconomy & CommunitiesWhat most interested or surprised you about your energy audit?
Lody Faddoul 4/22/2023 4:09 PMthe most interesting thing I learned after conducting my energy audit was that I was being more eco-friendly than I thought I was being. By changing a bunch of features around my home over the years and during this challenge, I received a better result.
