The Gorilla Project

I have joined our Green Team and am participating in the Gorilla Project. The Gorilla Project is a MSA program that is collecting old/used electronics that will be donated to the Detroit Zoo. Cell phones and other small electronics contain a mineral called coltan, which is being mined all over the world, including from the areas in Africa that gorillas call home. When we recycle our small electronic devices, we reduce the demand for coltan and the destruction of gorilla habitat. I chose this action to be able to help save gorilla's habitat while discarding electronics properly.

With 3 kids under the age of 13 and whom are all growing, Spring cleaning is in full effect! This weekend, we cleaned out their closets and donated 6 bags of lightly used clothing and shoes to Goodwill.

What was it like to practice mindfulness? If this is a practice for you already, what was something new you understood in practicing during Earth Month?

I pray 5 times a day. In doing this, I am disconnecting from technology for 20 mins a day. This helps clear my mind and revives my energy to be able to keep going.
