Lindsay Griffin 4/15/2023 8:42 AMSeeing how much I typically drive, along with the rising fuel prices in America, has definitely encouraged me to find a city to move to after college where I can walk more and have more public transportation available to me. Even though diesel burns cleaner than gas, it is still an unnecessary addition to our climate if I can avoid it. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate & EcosystemsWhat is one way you will reduce your carbon footprint? What is a practice you already have that helps you reduce your carbon footprint?
Lindsay Griffin 4/15/2023 8:40 AMEating less meat is one way I plan to reduce my carbon footprint, and I already do a lot of donating and thrifting of clothes, and repairing my clothes when they get damaged so it doesn't go to waste. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate & EcosystemsHow has your access to various kinds of transportation throughout your life influenced your current attitudes about transportation and your transportation behavior?
Lindsay Griffin 4/15/2023 8:39 AMI do not live in an area with a lot of public transportation or walking, so I have become very reliant on driving for everything, and its become a norm for me to drive everywhere. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEducation & LivelihoodHow do you create new sustainability-related habits or change bad habits?
Lindsay Griffin 4/15/2023 8:39 AMI look for habits that are easy to switch in to and are very similar to my current everyday routine. The fact that it is more similar to what I do makes it harder for me to fall into old habits and ensures that I am more likely to fall through on maintaining the habit. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEducation & LivelihoodHow does practicing a work-life balance create a more sustainable life for you? How might it contribute to sustainability more broadly?
Lindsay Griffin 4/15/2023 8:38 AMMaintaining a work-life balance ensures that I am more balanced and productive and not as tired. When I am burnt out I am more likely to fall into easy habits that do not promote sustainability. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & SecurityWith 5-minute or less showers reducing your water footprint, what do you plan to add next to your water conservation habits?
Lindsay Griffin 4/15/2023 8:36 AMI plan to make sure that when I do laundry, my loads are always full loads and not half loads or small loads so I do not waste any water on clothes washing. -
Lindsay Griffin 4/03/2023 6:10 AMExcited to be able to kick off Earth month with a commitment to more sustainable actions that will carry through the year.
