I watched a documentary called "Saber-comer", intended to raise awareness about the importance of what we eat and its impact on our health. It is interesting how in Mexico, even having labels that report excess sugar and fat in processed foods, this has not reduced obesity cases...

I watched a documentary called "La cara oculta de las energías renovables", and it offers a very interesting perspective regarding the possible dependency on rare metals which might start a several ecological and economic conditions for the supply of those strategic resources... Every action entails a reaction... let's see the problems that our consumption generates and try to mitigate them.

All plastic lids can be recycled: soft drinks, detergents, deodorant liquid soaps, medicines, dairy products, etc. These have a resin code #2 and are made from high-density polyethylene, which is one of the easiest plastics to recycle. Here at home we collect them and take them to collection centers to give them the proper treatment.

The documentary I watched is called "La Educación Prohibida", it seeks to raise awareness about the great failure of the current educational model, which does not really promote the love of wisdom and critical thinking, but rather cause students to lose interest and love for the knowledge, encouraging obedience, repetition, memorizing useless data and not questioning anything.

Pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides are all bad news for bees. Pesticides come in many forms and some, like neonicotinoids, are systemic, meaning they make all parts of the plant (including nectar and pollen) toxic to bees and other pollinators, so I'd like to share how you can make a spray to keep pests away from your garden and thus avoid harming pollinators.
In a glass spray bottle, mix two parts water and one part white vinegar. Add 10 drops of tea tree essential oil and 10 drops of peppermint essential oil. If any of your plants have pests, just spray them with this mixture a couple of times a day until the pest is gone. It works very well! You will see!!
