  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Education & Livelihood
How does practicing a work-life balance create a more sustainable life for you? How might it contribute to sustainability more broadly?

Taking out time each day in between work to think and do things apart from work allows my mind to speak to me and helps me relax and fall asleep faster when I hit the bed. Hence giving me a good 8 hours of sleep.

I absolutely detest wasting food. Lately, I have been more mindful about the quantity while purchasing groceries and food. and the leftovers are usually shared with my housekeep and neighbours.

This was a tough one because I'm on top of the pyramid when it comes to fast fashion! But I started out by decluttering and making a charity box of things I don't use anymore. Midway through, I mended a few old items that can be used. It felt purposeful!

Planting small trees and watching them grow and produce fruit is amazing! It is an ecstasy. Gardening helps keep me grounded and I feel very content and happy when I garden.

I did not really make it myself, but I tried to be mindful with what I consume when I was on holiday to Thailand last week, and I tried a papaya salad that was vegan! Additionally, I snacked on fruits instead of processed foods.
