On average, a tree absorbs 10 kilograms (22 pounds) of carbon dioxide yearly during the first 20 years. To do my part, I will plant 10 trees in my community, public parks, or backyard.

I will do one or more of the following actions in my yard or community to conserve water and improve habitat: plant indigenous plants, landscape with water-efficient plants, add mulching, replace a lawn, and/or use eco-friendly fertilizers.

I love looking outside and seeing incredible Dynamite Crape Myrtles rather than just driveway. Not only does it add an amazing red color to the view, it helps keep our property and house a little more hidden. I'll take a view of nature over road any day.

My wife and I decided to start using hydroponics and aeroponics to grow our own vegetables like hot peppers and tomatoes. These will be used as starters for the raised bed planters currently under construction.

On 3/25, planted a few new plants in an unfinished area of my yard (there's a few of those). This particular area will help stop rain water runoff erosion from happening once they mature. There are several underground that haven't popped up yet, but there are a few above ground already too. The one in the pot we haven't decided where it's going to go yet.

Planted 1.1 acres (50,000 sf) of new grass in my yard. About 2/3 a few weeks ago, with the other 1/3 about 2 weeks ago. It's growin' fast!! BTW... you can see the trees and bushes I'm about to plant in the very back of the first picture. Look for another post on that soon.

Solar has been ordered. Unfortunately it won't be installed this month. Hoping for May or June, but it's ordered and underway. Ordered a 7.2kWh system with Tesla PowerWall. This will produce 113% of my homes monthly power consumption meaning I'll be pushing back to the grid not only reducing my carbon consumption, but the net will be a negative carbon consumption of power.
