Health & Equity
Spend Time Outside
SDG 3
I will replace 30 minute(s) per day typically spent inside (computer time, watching television, etc.) with quality time outside exercising, enjoying the sunrise/sunset, gardening, journaling, or practicing gratitude for nature.
Health & Equity
Donate Food
SDG 3, 10
I will find out what food programs are in my area and donate food and/or other items that they request.
Health & Equity
Practice Mindfulness
SDG 3
I will spend 15 minutes each day practicing mindfulness.
Climate & Ecosystems
Plant a Tree
SDG 15
On average, a tree absorbs 10 kilograms (22 pounds) of carbon dioxide yearly during the first 20 years. To do my part, I will plant 10 trees in my community, public parks, or backyard.
Health & Equity
Track My Purchases
SDG 10
Each day, I will track my purchases to identify my spending habits. This will allow me to see what purchases can be reduced.
Climate & Ecosystems
Watch a Documentary About Climate Change or Nature
SDG 13, 14, 15
I will watch 2 documentaries about climate change.
Climate & Ecosystems
Support Local Pollinators
SDG 15
At least 30% of crops and 90% of flowering plants rely on pollinators to produce fruit. I will plant pollinator-friendly plants in my area to support local pollinators.
Climate & Ecosystems
Drive Less
SDG 13
To reduce CO2 emissions each day, I will cut my car trip mileage by only taking necessary trips.

REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & EquityWhy do you donate food? How does it connect to your values?
Megan Lehmann 4/19/2023 8:19 AMOur community makes it so easy to donate food. A lot of our local businesses have stations and run promotions monthly for different food pantries or charities in the county. I donate when I can, even one bag of flour or a jar of peanut butter can help a family. I have been fortunate enough to not go hungry and nobody deserves to be hungry, especially children. You don't have to donate in huge amounts! Even a box of snacks or granola bars when you can, helps! -

Megan Lehmann 4/10/2023 12:04 PMWent to lunch with a friend and learned she didn't recycle. They do not have garbage services at their home, so they take everything to the dump. We talked about solutions to how she can start recycling! -
