Climate & Ecosystems
Watch a Documentary About Climate Change or Nature
SDG 13, 14, 15
I will watch 3 documentaries about climate change.
Climate & Ecosystems
Earth Day Challenge Idea
Submitted improvement idea to the Comerica Earth Day Challenge site.
Education & Livelihood
Work-Life Balance
SDG 8
During the workday, I will schedule time for daily breaks during work days to practice work-life balance.
Economy & Communities
Analyze Your Utility Bills
SDG 7
I spend 15 minutes analyzing my recent utility bills, which might include electricity, gas, or water to see what my current usage is and determine if I can reduce my energy and water use.
Climate & Ecosystems
Drive Less
SDG 13
To reduce CO2 emissions each day, I will cut my car trip mileage by only taking necessary trips.
Climate & Ecosystems
Ecological & Xeriscape Gardening
SDG 14, 15
Studies show a grass lawn is water intensive and on average it require about 30 percent of a household’s water consumption. I will do one or more of the following actions in my yard or community to conserve water and improve habitat: plant indigenous plants, landscape with water-efficient plants, add mulching, replace a lawn, and/or use eco-friendly fertilizers.
Health & Equity
Track My Purchases
SDG 10
Each day, I will track my purchases to identify my spending habits. This will allow me to see what purchases can be reduced.
Health & Equity
Spend Time Outside
SDG 3
I will replace 30 minute(s) per day typically spent inside (computer time, watching television, etc.) with quality time outside exercising, enjoying the sunrise/sunset, gardening, journaling, or practicing gratitude for nature.
Health & Equity
Practice Mindfulness
SDG 3
I will spend 10 minutes each day practicing mindfulness.

Jennifer Maes-Kaufman 4/21/2023 2:11 AMI find myself in the market to purchase a new vehicle. Currently own a Hybrid Prius but in market for only EV. MSRP's are staggering from a several auto makers. I wish Comerica could provide an Earth month (April) auto loan incentive for EV vehicles with low locked interest rate to assist further for customers reducing emissions footprint.-

Jennifer Maes-Kaufman 4/11/2023 5:50 AMEvery week I collect the Kcups we use. Empty the coffee grounds from them and place the grounds in the compost container. Then clean out the kcups and place them in the recycle bin. The compost container, weekly, goes outside in backyard where we turn the soil around. We use this soil for our garden. I just wish our community or state could provide compost disposal container and pickup, like the trash and recycle bins. -
