REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & EquityHow have you reduced your purchasing habits and what would you like to do next to reduce your consumption habits?
Linda Maiben 4/11/2023 7:07 AMI have been intentional about bringing lunch and snacks to the office to ensure I don't eat out for either. To reduce further I am going to make it a point to eat the food that is in the fridge even if I am tired and don't feel like cooking. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEducation & LivelihoodHow does practicing a work-life balance create a more sustainable life for you? How might it contribute to sustainability more broadly?
Linda Maiben 4/10/2023 6:01 AMThe act of slowing down and creating space for non-work tasks and even non-chore like tasks makes me feel less overwhelmed. When I am less anxious I need less, I consume less, I want less. This directly affects my state of mind and allows a reset. It also prompts a lower carbon footprint because I enjoy the things I already have, I stay home or walk but don't use the car. I cook a meal at home with the ingredients I already have and don't waste food. I am more appreciative of everything I have.
