Elizabeth Malmstrom 4/19/2023 7:50 AMLast week South Florida experienced the worst flooding (20 plus inches) in 24 hour window that it has ever seen. Massive flooding and large-scale property damage occurred. It showed us all how when it comes to nature we have little control. However, after the event blooms and flowering proceeded and the pollinators were thrilled. It made me appreciate nature and its delicate balance all the more. (pic of my yard and bee and a fly (also a pollinator)) -

REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate & EcosystemsWhy is art an important way for you to express sustainability values?
Elizabeth Malmstrom 4/17/2023 11:21 AMI believe ART is a valuable tool to reflect sustainability values as it can beautifully reflect our love of nature and our commitment to respect it. It can also show the power of nature (i.e. photos of a hurricane or storm event) thus humbling us and giving us better appreciation for it. -

REFLECTION QUESTIONEconomy & CommunitiesWhat was the most interesting thing you learned from analyzing your utility bill? What are some ways you can save energy and water?
Elizabeth Malmstrom 4/06/2023 7:30 AMI was surprised of how just moderating a few actions (shorter showers, and less laundry loads) can make an impact. I used to be a bit of a water hog. Now I rethink how I use my water and how precious a commodity it is. -
