I will become a savvy produce shopper when buying organic and non-organic items.

COMPLETED
ONE-TIME ACTION

Climate & Ecosystems

Support Local Pollinators

SDG 15

At least 30% of crops and 90% of flowering plants rely on pollinators to produce fruit. I will plant pollinator-friendly plants in my area to support local pollinators.

COMPLETED
ONE-TIME ACTION

I will make a few homemade cleaning products.

COMPLETED
ONE-TIME ACTION

Rather than using expensive skin care products with chemicals, I supplement my routine with olive oil, coconut oil, green tea and apple cider vinegar.

I do not have a great filter - I say what I am thinking. This challenge has been a very good one - I have learned to listen more and to rethink the ways I communicate with my 17 year old daughter.

Rather than birthday presents, our son asks us to plant trees - it is a wonderful way to honor him & our planet :)

    Deborah McGloine's avatar
    Deborah McGloine 4/30/2023 5:47 AM
It is vital we take care of our pollinators if we want to eat! I love them all but plant flowers to attract hummingbirds, bees and butterflies.

I am participating in No Mow May - which No Mow May is a campaign to encourage people not to mow their lawns in the month of May – and to mow less during the summer. The reason? To help wildflowers and pollinating insects when both are in sharp decline.

Additionally, I am using no till gardening techniques for plants and vegetables.

Much to my husband's chagrin, we participate in "No Mow May". It is a campaign to encourage people not to mow their lawns in the month of May – and to mow less during the summer. The reason? To help wildflowers and pollinating insects when both are in sharp decline.
