REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & EquityWhy do you donate food? How does it connect to your values?
Mae Meshell 4/28/2023 11:54 AMI donate food because it is easy. I have worked at food banks and shelters that serve food and see how much of a difference that makes for others less fortunate. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEconomy & CommunitiesWhat was it like to mend your clothing? If you are skilled at mending, what tips do you have for others?
Mae Meshell 4/28/2023 11:52 AMI always loved to sew, so it was lovely and calming for me to go around the house and mend anything I saw with holes. My best trick is to compare the thickness of the fabric to the thickness of the needle. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate & EcosystemsWhat ecological or xeriscape landscaping practices do you have? How has your landscape changed from these practices?
Mae Meshell 4/28/2023 11:50 AMI have a tiny garden, and changing to a more ecofriendly fertilizer was super easy and hopefully gives me different colors of flowers.-

REFLECTION QUESTIONEducation & LivelihoodHow did you thank the educators in your life? If you are an educator, what was the most creative or fun way you have been thanked?
Mae Meshell 4/28/2023 11:48 AMI made a little post-it note that thanked the professor for how much time she had spent with us this semester. As an "educator" (feels weird calling myself that) I always just liked getting a high five from the kids lol -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & EquityWhat is easy for you to do when having a constructive conversation and what is challenging? What tips do you have for having a constructive conversation?
Mae Meshell 4/23/2023 9:51 PMNothing is easy with me- but I think it’s necessary for me to learn this skill especially having to weave my way into my big girl girl. Tips are just to listen and think about what you are saying (sounds easy but isn’t) -
REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate & EcosystemsWhy is it important to take care of pollinators? Do you have a favorite pollinator?
Mae Meshell 4/18/2023 12:33 PMMy favorite pollinators are bats! It is important to take care of pollinators so the ecosystems are not damaged forever. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & EquityWhat did you watch, and what was the most important thing you learned in the documentaries you watched? How does what you learned connect to your understanding of climate change and Earth Month?
Mae Meshell 4/16/2023 2:37 PMWe have all heard about the ice caps melting and the polar bears are being effected but seeing the graphs really put it in prospective -
Mae Meshell 4/13/2023 1:24 PMI am having so much fun being able to talk to everyone about my new knowledge! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & EquityWhat was surprising about the ingredients in your cleaning supplies, personal care, and pet products?
Mae Meshell 4/13/2023 1:23 PMHaving curly hair and seeing all the ingredients that aren't good for the environment or my hair was insane. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & EquityHow have you reduced your purchasing habits and what would you like to do next to reduce your consumption habits?
Mae Meshell 4/13/2023 1:22 PMI will have to buy more in bulk, so one time trip to the stores until little trips every other days.
