WSP - Emerge Program

Spend 15 minutes learning about the Emerge Program at WSP. Emerge is WSP's strategic alliance program that seeks early-stage companies with novel solutions as strategic partners. Partners get access to in-house subject matter experts, an opportunity to pilot their products/technologies with WSP during the evaluation phase and have access to our client base. Emerge propels our partners by accelerating the product/technology adoption. Having recently launched our 4th cohort, Emerge has accelerated a number of companies whose mission aligns with UN SDGs. • Olokun Minerals • ecoSPEARS • PLAEX Building Systems

To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

A group of us volunteered at the Sandcastle competition. It was a lot of fun and hard work moving buckets of water from the ocean to the beach where the students were building their structures.
My family has already signed up for the beach cleanup in June because it's a great opportunity to help out.

I watched "The Hands That Feed You" and it was sad to hear the stories of the farmers who weren't protected from pesticides and the illnesses they are facing now. I'm glad there are regulations in place now and that farmers are also growing organic foods.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Climate & Ecosystems
What is one way you will reduce your carbon footprint? What is a practice you already have that helps you reduce your carbon footprint?

After watching the Warriors beat the Kings (what an exciting WIN), I took a walk to the park. I hadn't been in a while and was surprised by the number of the trees that had fallen with all the recent storms.

When working from home, I will turn off my laptop and take a long walk before coming back to start dinner. I do this on purpose so I get the chance to unwind from work. Then I can come back fresh to start on other projects.
