Diana's actions
Health & Equity
Communicate Constructively
SDG 16
I will use the communication methods I read about to practice effective, compassionate, and nonviolent communication with someone I interact with regularly (i.e., my roommate, parents, co-worker, partner, classmates, or children).
Climate & Ecosystems
Drive Less
SDG 13
To reduce CO2 emissions each day, I will cut my car trip mileage by only taking necessary trips.
Health & Equity
Spend Time Outside
SDG 3
I will replace 5 minute(s) per day typically spent inside (computer time, watching television, etc.) with quality time outside exercising, enjoying the sunrise/sunset, gardening, journaling, or practicing gratitude for nature.
Education & Livelihood
Work-Life Balance
SDG 8
During the workday, I will schedule time for daily breaks during work days to practice work-life balance.
Basic Needs & Security
Reduce Animal Product Consumption
SDG 2
One kilogram of beef and cheese emits 71kg and 24kg of greenhouse gasses, while 1kg of rice, grains, and legumes emits between 2-4kg. Fruits, vegetables, and nuts emit less than 1kg per 1kg. I will reduce my climate impact by enjoying 1 meatless meals and/or 1 vegan meals each day this week.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

Diana Restrepo 4/27/2023 12:00 PMThis month I have participated in different Sustainability related webinars from industry partners. Sharing some highlights of interesting information I learned.
Steve Ashkin is known as the Father of Green Cleaning, he consults with the EPA on Green Disinfectant Certification and Safer Choice Partner of the Year programs. He also supports US Green Building Council on LEED certification guidelines, as well as being involved with the ISSA Sustainability Committee.
You can see in the image below the definition of Green Products or "Environmentally Preferable" that was made standard in the Presidential Executive Order in 1993.
