WSP - Emerge Program

Spend 15 minutes learning about the Emerge Program at WSP. Emerge is WSP's strategic alliance program that seeks early-stage companies with novel solutions as strategic partners. Partners get access to in-house subject matter experts, an opportunity to pilot their products/technologies with WSP during the evaluation phase and have access to our client base. Emerge propels our partners by accelerating the product/technology adoption. Having recently launched our 4th cohort, Emerge has accelerated a number of companies whose mission aligns with UN SDGs. • Olokun Minerals • ecoSPEARS • PLAEX Building Systems

It is an exciting day! Snow is mostly gone and the jeans are outside drying in the sun!

It was laundry day! I purposely chose what items can be air dryed and which need to go into the dryer. I coordinate the loads so the dryer never cools down - it is a way to save energy for the next load of not having to reheat the dryer. The neighbor's chickens got the kitchen scraps. And our cleaning resulted in lots of paper going into the recycling bin. Coffee grounds to the garden. Dinner out of the freezer. We did what we could to celebrate Earth Day with our inside business.

Since we are about on our 9th winter this season so far, it is a bit frustrating to not be outside as much as I want to. It's not yet time to clean up the leaves and trash from our long winter - everyone is struggling with cabin fever!

I am choosing to not sign up for another website. I am sure it has useful information.

This was cleanup day from our fundraising banquet for elk habitat conservation. We purposely collected all of the cardboard for recycling. The committee was all eager and anxious to ensure we recycled. Of course the 'easy button' would have been to throw it in the nearby dumpster.

Today I chaired a large fundraising banquet for conservation of elk habitat. We had more than 40 children and 390 adults - all gathered for this mission. It is so joyous and impactful to realize how our combined efforts and enthusiasm allow us to meet sustainable goals.

Today is: Snow day and hazardous walking conditions... Means I am driving instead of walking. So I am focussing on inside activities, including extra care of house plants, preparing dinner from the freezer, and making plans for the next sunny day!

Good. Always thinking about my footprint. On super snowy days, like today, it gets complicated with eco-focussed actions.

Do you plan on having much engagement with your office green team?

I do not. I am hoping that 'others' in the office will set this up so that I can join electronically instead of the 150 miles to be in person. :)
