    Rose Haven! They are a day shelter and community center specifically serving women, children, and gender-diverse people in Portland and they are located very near House PDX.

    Practicing a work-Life balance helps to not get burn out which effects all aspects of my life including taking "easy" options which aren't the best for the environment such as driving more, getting take-out, easting more processed and packaged foods vs whole foods with no packaging, and more.

    I want to help other in my community who worry about feeding themselves and their family. Living in a community, I think it's a human right that people should get enough nutritious food. There's no reason in todays world this shouldn't happen.

    I made a very simple Kale salad: Dinosaur kale (thinly chopped), a good amount of crushed garlic, olive oil, white modena and white wine vinegar, salt and pepper, messaged and topped with vegan feta cheese and walnuts!

    Meditation is a great way to start the day! It helps me clear my thoughts.
