Julie Sinistore 4/30/2023 8:02 AMHey team? How has your month been? What will you keep doing after the month is over? -
Julie Sinistore 4/30/2023 8:02 AMCan't believe the month is over already! It's so beautiful in April! -
Julie Sinistore 4/29/2023 7:35 AMGetting close to the end of Earth Month, I hope people keep up sustainable habits! -
Julie Sinistore 4/28/2023 6:27 AMI joined this challenge to support people and demonstrate how easy it is to take steps every day to reduce environmental impact like by choosing vegan. -
Julie Sinistore 4/28/2023 6:26 AMYesterday I got to try the future. I haven't eaten meat in 27 years, and yesterday I tried cell based clean chicken. No animals died for this. The environmental kmpacts are lower. No grain needed to be grown, no land fouled with manure, no antibiotics used, no slaughter house or abused workers, and no risk of pathogens. This is the future! -

Julie Sinistore 4/27/2023 6:49 PMMy husband and I are considering changing our stove for an induction stove and oven. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & EquityHow is food equity and access linked to a sustainable future?
Julie Sinistore 4/27/2023 6:48 PMI recommend checking out the work of the Food Empowerment Project as they are helping ensure access to sustainable food that does not exploit other people https://foodispower.org/
They have a very useful list of chocolate producers that do and do not use exploitative labor. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & EquityWhat did you watch, and what was the most important thing you learned in the documentaries you watched? How does what you learned connect to your understanding of climate change and Earth Month?
Julie Sinistore 4/27/2023 6:46 PMI've learned that gender is a construct that can trap people, particularly women, in gender norms that undermine one's sense of self worth and I would rather not participate in that.
