REFLECTION QUESTIONEconomy & CommunitiesWhat was the most interesting thing you learned from analyzing your utility bill? What are some ways you can save energy and water?
Colleen Sullivan 4/28/2023 6:21 AMI have learned since my kids do not live at home; I use much less energy. I have also discovered that by not Turing lights on at night and turning them off when you leave a room it saves electricity and also unplugging appliances and things not being used has saved money. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEconomy & CommunitiesChanging lightbulbs is an excellent first step toward energy efficiency! What's next for you?
Colleen Sullivan 4/28/2023 6:18 AMMy next step is to finish installing lightbulbs inside the rest of my house and outside the house. I am also going to talk to others about the lightbulbs. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEconomy & CommunitiesWhat was one nonprofit organization that was exciting to learn about?
Colleen Sullivan 4/19/2023 6:52 AMI feel talking to Associated Charities in Adrian, Michigan was very interesting to learn about how they raise money for back-to-school clothing drive and Christmas for the kids presents the parent s shop for along with a food basket. But most interesting was how they rebuilt the building after a fire they had this year on how they raised funds but were still able to help kids for back to school with gift card donations that were handed out a specified place due to them not having a building. They could not believe how kind people were with donations for both. I have donated clothing g there for years for all adults and kids. I am really interested in the Blue Jean ball they have to raise money for their organization. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEconomy & CommunitiesWhat was it like to mend your clothing? If you are skilled at mending, what tips do you have for others?
Colleen Sullivan 4/18/2023 11:57 AMIt was interesting to mend some items. I have always done buttons and tiny holes. But I watched a video on fixing Afghan blankets. Which helped somewhat. But my sons baby blanket was too far gone to completely fix. But I did the best I could. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEconomy & CommunitiesWhat was it like to create a readiness plan? Did you find other resources you could share?
Colleen Sullivan 4/18/2023 11:53 AMMy reediness plan seemed like a difficult task at first. Until I broke it down into smaller sections and I quit overthinking it-which was my main issue. I looked for examples online and read some information articles. -
