How has your access to various kinds of transportation throughout your life influenced your current attitudes about transportation and your transportation behavior?

Since a child I walked a lot, and I was used to use the public transportation (buses and trains), as we had no car. I embrace and support walking especially. When my time permits, I also use public transportation rather than a car.
My kids also love to go by bus and train. I engaged also the grandparents to use rather the public transportation. So they the kids from school and go together by bus.
