Dear Oscar, on todays episode of Callia’s Amazing Adventures we have the second episode of the cooking edition! Todays episode has a little twist because we aren’t being judged. We are judging. We start our day off with a trip to the Whole Foods market where they supply great options for any eco eating. We were presented by a hand made roll. Inside are cucumbers, and crab, which is topped with a lovely amount of pickled ginger. Judges score the first round with an 8/10. We move on to the next round at a local small restaurant. This round we are looking at many different dishes on the menu so we bring in some more judges. We have Jeena, Jeff, Naomi, and OSCAR! Along with our other judges from the last round. As the wide variety of food arrives we start to dig in. Once finished we submit our scores. The average of this round is averaged with the first round to give us our overall score. The score must be over 7/10 to go onto the next round. Jeena…… GIVES A 6/10! Jeff……….. GIVES A 5/10! Callia…….. GIVES A 7/10! Jackie……….GIVES A 3/10! Naomi……….. GIVES A 5/10! AND OSCAR GIVES A………. 10/10! Giving this round a 6/10. This means if the overall average does not meet 7/10 they will be eliminated! The results are in. The overall average is…. 7/10!!!! They barely make it to the next round. Competitors must up their game is they want to stay past next week ON CALLIAS GREAT ADVENTURES COOKING EDITION!
Dear Oscar, Today’s episode of Callia’s Great Adventures is called “the hunt.” There is no plant based cooking because todays challenge is to hunt for recipes to use for the next cooking competition. I wandered across the treacherous roads of Pleasanton and stumbled upon the Barnes and Noble “Towers of Knowledge” only discoverable by those who are worthy of it. After performing a series of strenuous tests I was allowed the knowledge of all in the world. Picking the finest book, I satisfy my quarry and travel back home to prepare for the next battle.
Dear Oscar, on todays episode of Callia’s Great Adventures we have a special cooking edition! Today we cooked a vegan recipe from Bon Appétit. I present to the judges sticky and spicy baked cauliflower with a side of seared tofu and sautéed greens on top of a lovely bed of barley, all generously topped with a spicy sauce. Judges voted me to the next round so stay tuned for our next cooking edition of Callia’s Great Adventures!https://www.bonappetit.com/recipe/sticky-and-spicy-baked-cauliflower
Dear Oscar, I went on Bart to SF, enjoyed the great outdoors, ate pizza, browsed a flea market, window shopping, and more. Tune in next time for Callia’s Great Adventures, at the end of everyday in April!
