REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & EquityWhat was it like to practice mindfulness? If this is a practice for you already, what was something new you understood in practicing during Earth Month?
Josh Taylor 4/17/2023 8:37 AMI already practice mindfulness for my wellbeing-- I meditate occasionally and it helps me to be aware of things that would otherwise go unnoticed. Practicing mindfulness during earth month has made me much more aware of how much I waste. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & EquityWhat are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time inside and on screens?
Josh Taylor 4/16/2023 12:54 PMSpending too much time inside and on screens numbs us to the value of nature. It creates the illusion that we don't rely on nature for all of our daily necessities, which is what enables us to take advantage of and over use the environment. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate & EcosystemsHow can spending more time outdoors enhance your sense of place? Was there a new place in your region that was exciting to learn about and visit?
Josh Taylor 4/13/2023 10:23 AMI went to spend time by Lac St. Louis watching the water. It took 25 minutes just to get there, but once I arrive I enjoyed the serenity of the environment. Moments like that remind me of how important the protection of the environment is to me.-
Jessica Burpee 4/15/2023 12:05 PMNice, Josh! Can you walk down from school now and then for a break? Only 5 minutes away :)
