Participant Feed

Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.

To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health & Equity
What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time inside and on screens?

    TRACY TESTERMAN's avatar
    TRACY TESTERMAN 4/19/2023 9:35 AM
Not spending time in fresh air and moving about will cause a culture to develop sore and stiff joints, poor health overall, and bad eyesight (due to the screens).
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Climate & Ecosystems
What was your experience like plogging, or engaging in another way to collect litter while being outside? Was there any item you collected that was unusual that you found?

My husband and I walk in the morning and find ourselves tidying up the park after the neighborhood kids have had a night out. We find lots of crazy things. This morning's crazy item was 1/2 of a plastic chair.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Climate & Ecosystems
Why is it important to take care of pollinators? Do you have a favorite pollinator?

Pollinators make the world go around, literally! I have respect for all pollinators, although I'm allergic to bees! (If you've never been to Disney's Animal Kingdom and watched the It's Tough to be a Bug show, get there!)

Took our kiddo there for their 5th birthday and they were terrified and in tears. Ditto to the Rainforest Cafe. We didn't really know at the time they had sensitivity to certain stimuli. 😬
