REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate & EcosystemsHow is planting trees good for your mental, physical, and spiritual health?
Valerie Viscusi 4/24/2023 5:19 AMI planted two maple trees in the backyard. Even though I won't be living here to watch them grow and mature over time, it makes me feel like I did something good for the environment. I am a big nature fan and planting some more trees makes me feel more connected to the Earth. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & EquityWhat are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time inside and on screens?
Valerie Viscusi 4/24/2023 5:17 AMThose who spend most of their time online and inside will likely have trouble developing correct social cues and interactions. The health of those who stay inside will also decline - fresh air and the sunshine does the body well -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & EquityHow have you reduced your purchasing habits and what would you like to do next to reduce your consumption habits?
Valerie Viscusi 4/24/2023 5:14 AMI have stopped buying single use plastics - bottles, k cups, utensils, etc. Using reusable items has limited my spending at the grocery store, and also makes me feel better about my purchases.
