REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate & EcosystemsWhy is water habitat important to you?
Samantha Waters 4/25/2023 4:52 AMWater habitat is important because it impacts the entire ecosystem. I live next to Onondaga Lake, which is considered the most polluted lake in the United States and the second in the world. (The most polluted being the lake that Russia dumped it nuclear waste in for 12 years). Living next to a like that has been in remediation my entire life and not being allowed to swim in it, (since 1940) due to a chemical company dumping 165,000 pounds of Hg into it, has really made me appreciate clean water.-
Claudia Ramirez 4/25/2023 8:54 PMOh wow, I didn't know that! I swear since I moved to NYS I have learned so much history and a lot of facts. Thank you for sharing that information! Also, that picture is beautiful! -

Samantha Waters 4/25/2023 4:35 AMI found this app that connect to your apple watch and every time you walk 10,000 steps they plant a tree! It's called treecard! They rotate through sponsors to pay for the trees and its always a brand that focuses on sustainability. I thought that this was really cool and they have some cool prizes if you stick with it.-
