Hi! I joined this challenge to try and make permanent changes to my behavior to help reduce my carbon footprint.

We did it! Great job, everyone!!

I really enjoy cooking vegetarian and exploring new recipes with lentils and beans and soy.

Lack of personal connection to others can really affect overall health especially mental health. In fact, engaging in personal connections with others helps to prevent dementia, lower anxiety and depression, and improve immune function.

If anyone is looking for an opportunity to help plant trees, there's an event in the South Hills this Saturday.

One more week to go! WE CAN DO THIS!!!

We have replaced all the light bulbs with energy star lights. We wash all our clothes in cold water. We don't have an air conditioner, so we don't run too much energy in the summer. I can commit to using more public transportation and turning down the thermostat 1 degree in the winter.

In celebration of Earth Day tomorrow a few of us planted some bonsai seeds. Hopefully they survive!

I know Earth Day is officially tomorrow, but I want to thank our Department of Sustainability (Brittany, Abby, and Rachel). Thank you for your hard work and dedication in leading the goal for a more sustainable county government!
