The nonprofit I connected with was the Moro Moro Scholarship fund, which my family helps run. My grandfather started it to help people in his poor rural village attend University. Many of the people that went through this program helped reinvest their skills and education in their home communities to help raise other people up out of poverty as well!

What was it like to mend your clothing? If you are skilled at mending, what tips do you have for others?

I tend to shop secondhand clothing in general, and I'm not afraid to put in a little work especially if I plan to use the clothes ( usually jeans ) on my farm. Those items have a second life to live in being useful. Often times when I am done with a pair of jeans, I will cut them up to what is still solid on them and utilize them to patch holes in horses winter blankets because the denim is strong.

I did this as a result of replacing my bathroom lighting fixtures. I purchased a box of LED bulbs and as the regular bulbs burn out around the house I plan to switch over to LEDs only.

What I learned from this documentary is that the earth is getting warmer, the temperature is raising at the point that becoming a big concern for million people. The emissions of freon gas and Co2 is responsible of globaal warming. This documentary says exactly what we learned in class about climate change.

The documentary I watched was an episode of Netflix's explained. The episode was called World's Water Crisis. I learned in the episode the world has taken for granted the supply of fresh water. For example, 48% of Mexico City's water is lost due to leaky pipes. Water is going to become a valuable asset like oil. We need to take steps now to delay the date the world uses the last drop of water.

It was nice to set a side time to be by myself and to try to clear my mind. It helped me to relax and relieved some anxiety I have at times. This is something I am going to try to continue.
