I think the ability to have a car and drive everywhere growing up made me rely a lot on using a vehicle to get places, even if it was very close. Lately, I have been trying to walk more if it is somewhere less than 2 miles away. This has helped me get more sun, enjoy the outdoors more, and reduce my emissions as well.

I will try to put bigger loads of laundry/dishes into their respective washing machines so that I use less overall water.

On Sunday, I walked to a restaurant for brunch instead of driving there, since it was less than 2 miles away from me. Not only did it help reduce my emissions, but it was a very enjoyable walk as well!

On Sunday, I went to Forest Park and had a picnic on Art Hill and saw many other people doing the same thing. It seemed everyone out there was quite happy to be relaxing in the sun. A culture that spends most of its time inside not only might be lonely, but lets people miss out from the social aspect of enjoying this earth with other people.
