On Earth Day, I spent the morning picking up trash along the road in my neighborhood, then spent the afternoon hiking up Knox Mountain in Maine. #WCgetsgreener #leavingtheworldabetterplace #earthday2023

I've been picking up trash on my morning dog walks. The little good feeling I get sort of reminds me of collecting coins in Super Mario when I was a kid. I can here the little "bing" sound effect in my head!

I've looked closer around my home to find what I can do differently. I use refillable glass bottles for cleaning, I've minimized plastic packaging as much as possible, and I have also created mini-greenhouses that can be reused (Miracle Gro was NOT used- just an old bottle).

I purchased a large bag of seeds, which I will plant as soon as the ground warms up in this area a little more. Since moving to my home in 2019, I've noticed a lot of pollinators in my yard. I've been slowly adding flower and vegetable beds to help these species thrive.
