To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

This ecochallenge month went by too fast! I feel some regret that I chose some actions that I didn't manage to complete. My new personal goal is to do them anyway. Looking forward to the next event. :)

A group of us volunteered at the Sandcastle competition. It was a lot of fun and hard work moving buckets of water from the ocean to the beach where the students were building their structures.
My family has already signed up for the beach cleanup in June because it's a great opportunity to help out.

Tip of the Day: Waste not, want not. Did you know that 9.5 million tons of food is wasted in the UK every year? This isn’t just a huge waste of food and money, it adds to the amount of CO2 and methane being created in landfills.

My family and I explored Land's End today. Here's a picture of where the Sutro Baths used to be.

I watched "The Hands That Feed You" and it was sad to hear the stories of the farmers who weren't protected from pesticides and the illnesses they are facing now. I'm glad there are regulations in place now and that farmers are also growing organic foods.

Tip of the Day: Plastic seems to have found its way into every single aspect of our lives. However, giving it up isn’t as difficult as you might think – bring a canvas bag with you when you go shopping, buy your fruit and veg loose and stop buying bottled water.
