    There were so many activities, I have taken away a few tips that I have shared with my family, this is a way of life. I am working on zero waste, reducing my footprint.

    Watched a documentary on the impact that general industry/manufacturing has on climate change. It's astonishing that something we take for granted uses so much energy and isn't necessarily good for the environment.

    "How America Works" is an amazing program that shows the everyday labor that we take for granted, from mining copper to laying massive pipeline. I gave me a new appreciation for these workers.

    What was the most interesting thing you learned from analyzing your utility bill? What are some ways you can save energy and water?

    I actually started analyzing my utility bills including how much "run-time" my HVAC is on each month. It now helps me to recognize various patterns and how I can continue to decrease electricity and natural gas consumption.

    I watched a documentary on California redwoods and in search of the tallest redwood tree. This included scientists actually climbing these redwoods to gain valuable information including how old a particular tree actually was. It was amazing how old some of these trees actually were.

    Why is it important to take care of pollinators? Do you have a favorite pollinator?

    Honey bees are my favorite "pollinators as are hummingbirds. I never knew that hummingbirds were pollinators too until I watched a documentary on various pollinators, which included these remarkable birds.

    Had an opportunity to explore Chicago and it was great seeing the city from a different lens.

    What was one of your most memorable volunteer experiences, and why? What would you like to volunteer for next, and why?

    I enjoy volunteering at our food bank. I happen to often go on a morning when a group of children come to help pack food boxes. They are fun to work with. I would like to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity but need to find a way to make that happen with work schedule.
