Why did I join? Why not? It's my planet as well as it is anybody else's. Let's all take responsibility for our actions. Together we can make a difference.

Shared garden fresh tomatoes basil beans with neighbors and made a fresh dish at home instead of driving to restaurant.

I mended a jacket instead of running out and buying a new one. It felt good!

I am glad I joined the eco-challenge, a little late to join; however, grateful to join k-bee stewards for their support and taking on the challenge. A very heartfelt thanks to our team leader Banu E for her leadership and decision to bring this to Kitsap Bank. A great motivation for many team members to get involved and excited about ways of sharing, caring and improving for environment and our planet for centuries to come. Every one person makes a small contribution, in whatever way possible and that brings about a positive impact in the bigger picture, one person at a time and one day a time. Thanks to everyone who have decided to join the bandwagon of eco-challenge and committed to continuing their efforts beyond. Best to all.

Last day of Ecochallenge. It was a good journey, learning how to reduce food waste, excess carbon and save money while connecting with teammates felt good. Something to carry on in the years ahead. Thank you all for sharing your deeds and your ideas!

The Ecochallenge has been away for me to challenge myself to inspire others in making a difference in themselves, their homes and our communities through the examples and self discovery of the Ecochallenge. This is not one and done. We need to continue to invest in ourselves and our communities if we want to have a more sustainable future and learn from the mistakes of our past. I came across these short series from Patagonia on Worn Wear - it’s worth watching and learning about the impact of clothing. Changing lightbulbs is an excellent first step toward energy efficiency! What's next for you?

Every light bulb in my house is LED and Wi-Fi enabled. Also, a year ago I worked with our utility to convert our street lights to LED. It’s amazing that LED has been around for 60 years.
