They are the lungs of our planet.
    Could we live without lungs?

Water is an important resource that we might take for granted.
I know is falling from the sky, but it is not that simple.
Using resilient grown covers instead of grass, mulching, and planting succulents in the sunny areas, is not only helping with water conservation, is helping me in the long run.
Less time mowing the loan is more time to start new and exciting projects.

Why is it important to take care of pollinators? Do you have a favorite pollinator?

I do not have a favorite pollinator, they are all doing an important job.
As David Attenborough was saying, you loose one insect you loose a plant. You loose a plan you loose the mammal, the bird, the insect that was feeding on it.
    We loose color and diversity.

Thank you guys for your comments.
During the COVID lockdown I have discovered the blessing of having a garden.
It saves ones sanity and the sense of freedom.
I wish humans could see this planet as their unique, wonderful, magical garden, and treat it as such.
The alternative is living in a dump with fading memories of paradise.

The new addition to my backyard garden are two avocado threes, one 1.5 m high, that will bear fruits in 5 years, and another younger seedling that with a bit of luck will bear fruits in 10 years. Next in line is a mini date palm. This will have to wait until the weather is more gardening friendly. Wey winter here in NZ.
